RoadFolio is a vehicle service-book app made by PPProdukcija. Its core logbook works without an account or AI. This policy covers the current app and the optional AI Mechanic introduced in version 1.1.
Vehicles, service records, faults, mileage history, photos, documents and saved AI conversations are stored on your iPhone. They may be included in your own device backups. RoadFolio does not provide cloud sync. You can export or share your data using the app's tools.
RoadFolio uses the camera or photo library only when you choose to scan, capture or attach something. VIN, odometer, invoice and document recognition use Apple's on-device Vision framework. These scans are not uploaded by the scanner. A photo you select for AI Mechanic is different and may be transmitted as described below. Dictation uses on-device speech recognition and is unavailable if your iPhone cannot recognize speech offline.
VIN online lookup is off by default. If you enable it, the VIN you scan or enter is sent to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's vPIC service to retrieve vehicle details. RoadFolio does not attach an account or advertising identifier to this request.
AI analysis is off until you enable it in the app. When you tap Ask AI, RoadFolio sends the vehicle year, make and model, the symptom and question, up to six recent messages in that fault, up to twelve relevant service records (including titles, work and notes), up to eight earlier faults, and a photo if you selected one for that request to a RoadFolio service hosted by Cloudflare. The service forwards this request to OpenAI to generate a response. Avoid including personal details in notes or photos if you do not want them processed. AI suggestions can be inaccurate and are not a confirmed diagnosis or a substitute for a qualified mechanic.
With AI consent enabled, the app also sends a random installation identifier to check the remaining AI allowance and verify an AI purchase. The RoadFolio service does not retain the submitted fault text, photo or generated answer. OpenAI may retain API abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days under its applicable terms. OpenAI does not use API content to train its models by default. See OpenAI's API data controls for details.
RoadFolio offers two one-time AI trial checks without Premium. After those, AI Mechanic requires RoadFolio Premium, which includes two checks per week. To enforce the trial, weekly allowance and optional purchased credits, RoadFolio's service stores the random installation identifier, trial and weekly usage counts, credit balance, and Apple transaction identifiers for credit grants and refunds. Weekly usage records are deleted after approximately eight weeks. Trial usage and credit/transaction records are retained to enforce the one-time trial, prevent duplicate grants and handle refunds while the service operates. Cloudflare processes request IP addresses to rate-limit and deliver the service; RoadFolio does not store these addresses in its usage database.
Apple processes App Store payments. RoadFolio does not receive your payment card details. Premium purchases are handled through StoreKit, and the AI service verifies a signed Apple transaction to confirm Premium access. Optional extra AI checks are a separate consumable in-app purchase for Premium users. Unused AI credits are tied to this installation and may not transfer if you remove the app or change devices; an active Premium entitlement is required to use them.
If you allow notifications, maintenance reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. You can turn them off in RoadFolio Settings or iOS Settings.
RoadFolio is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect children's data. Changes to this policy will be posted here with a new update date.
